Did you know that children placed in foster care often use a trash bag to transport their belongings from one home to the other? Also, the average child in foster care will make 7 moves. We want to provide a backpack to every child to help tell them they are not trash. They are important. No child ever wishes for the circumstances that leads to foster care. Let's show them that there are people who want to help -- even if it is in a small way. Please help Athletes That Care start ripples of change that can make a difference!

LORI JAMES

Lori is involved in all aspects of the organization - from finding donations, then packing and distributing bags. Through friends and family, she has enlisted the help of multiple professionals to make the dream of ATC a reality. She is also know as the "idea person" of the team.

Because of being a mentor to most of the original athletes involved in founding ATC, Lori has been involved since the first meeting. She brings energy, honesty and unlimited positive encouragement to this budding group of leaders.
JOY NEWTON

Experienced, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few words to describe this invaluable member of our team. Joy is a play maker. Any project she sets her mind to will be accomplished effectively and efficiently.
CAM METCALF
Board Member
Cam is our Dallas area representative. She is involved with collecting donations, marketing outreach and promoting ATC in the Dallas metroplex. We are thrilled to have her and her huge heart for athletes and children needing a helping hand.
